Adrienne Electronics Corporation (AEC) developed the PCI-TC family of PCI bus plug-in boards to provide effective, fast, and low cost ways of reading and/or generating time codes via personal computers. Some of these boards are also capable of reading NTSC line 21 data, including closed caption data, generating an On-Screen Display (OSD) of the time code data, and interfacing with RS-232 and RS-422 serial devices.
